Tasting Notes:

Classic Pinot Noir notes of red fruit (raspberry and cherry) an an elegant and complex red wine.  Although lighter than efforts from warmer regions, it is still rewarding and enjoyable.

Dierberg holds a special place in our hearts as we were priviliged to a magical visit there in 2022.  Pinot Noirs and Chardonnays from this wonderful region benefit from the only transverse mountain range in North America.  Due to a geological shift millions of years ago, the east/west orientation of the rabnges causes an effect that funnels cool air from the Pacific to create coveted diurnal temperatures.  It is this variation in daytime/nightime temps that produce ideal Pinot Noir conidtions, which are more remniscent of Burgundy than other parts of California.
